These six rail anchors were once used to fasten a railroad track to the underlying rail ties. These were found along an old track in Central Texas. These pieces were lightly washed after being collected.
There are two types of anchors included in this lot that have a combined weight of over 15 pounds.
Four of the pieces measure approximately 6-1/2 X 4 inches and the width of the piece being approximately 1-1/4 inches. Each piece weighs over two pounds.
Two pieces measure approximately 8-1/2 X 3-1/2 inches and have a width of approximately 3/4 inches. Each of these weigh over three pounds.
These would make great rustic door pulls or hanging hooks.
