Crested Blue Candle Cactus, Choose Exact Plant - Free US Shipping

The plants in this listing are healthy and vividly colored examples of a rare and unusual cactus. The crested form of Myrtillocactus geometrizans (also known as Dinosaur Back, Crested Blue Myrtle Cactus, Crested Blue Flame and Crested Blue Candle Cactus) is highly sought after by collectors.

These are very attractive plants that are also relatively cold hardy. They continue to branch, produce new crests and stalks over time ensuring that every specimen has a unique shape.

Multiple sides of the eight plants being offered are shown in the listing photographs. The four smaller cacti are growing in 3-1/4 inch square pots while the four larger are potted in 6 inch round containers. The following dimensions are for each of the plants, in Length x Width x Height format, with the unit of measure being inches.

A: 3-1/2 x 2-1/2 x 3-1/2

Although these may survive temperatures as low as 25 degrees, they should be protected from frost and freezing if at all possible. Needs are typical of most other cacti: Plant them in well draining soil and in a planter having plenty of drainage. Water when dry during summer months and only once per month at other times of the year. Full sun is ideal but they may scorch if exposed to intense summer sun.
