The tree responsible for this stunning piece of petrified wood lived in what is now Texas approximately 50 million years ago. The wood has been beautifully preserved and completely replaced by colorful chalcedony.
The specimen was washed and scrubbed after being collected but is otherwise as it was found. It weighs 4 pounds, 10 ounces and measures 5-3/4 x 4-3/4 x 3 inches. All listing photos show the piece dry.
Shipping to any address within the United States is included in the listing prices.
