Petrified Wood, 6 Pound Larger White Piece - Free US Shipping
This unusual petrified wood piece was collected from a Texas location and dates to the Eocene Epoch. It is in remarkable condition, especially considering that it is approximately 35 million years old.
With the exceptions of the ends and a couple of small areas, the white exterior encompasses the specimen. The interior wood is darker with growth rings and cell structures being easily visible at the larger end.
This piece has a length of 9-1/4 Inches and is 6-1/2 inches wide. The average thickness is 2 inches and it weighs 5 pounds, 15 ounces. The specimen was washed and scrubbed to remove soil and other material but is otherwise as it was found.
