M. schubei, also known as Euphorbia schubei, is a fast growing, unusual and rare plant that is native to Tanzania. Reaching a height of up to 3 feet, this succulent will branch as it grows taller. This would be a great addition to any succulent collection.
All sides of the exact plant are shown in the first five listing photographs. It stands 12 inches above the soil and was photographed growing in an 8 inch diameter pot. The trunk measures up to 2-1/2 inches in diameter and has leaves that spread up to 7 inches. The photos were taken on September 14, 2024. The final listing photograph shows a similar plant to illustrate how the coloration changes when these plants receive a higher degree of sunlight. Colors shown in the leaves when the plant ships may change depending on the amount of sunlight the plant receives. A portion of the leaves may drop or become damaged while in transit, however these will regrow very quickly. This succulent will ship without soil or container.
This plant requires a great deal of light and looks its best when it receives 6 hours of direct sunlight. Plant in well draining soil and water once completely dry during the summer. Reduce watering to once every 6 weeks during winter months. Although it will survive cooler temperatures, exposure to anything less than 45 degrees Fahrenheit should be limited. PLEASE NOTE: I do not use heat packs and am not responsible for damage related to the plant being exposed to cold temperatures.
