The beautiful petrified wood in this listing is fully agatized and was found in Texas. The tree that provided the wood that was fossilized lived during the Eocene epoch, making the piece 34 to 55 million years old.
The specimen was washed and scrubbed after being collected but is otherwise as it was found. The first six listing photos show the piece wet to provide an idea of how the surfaces may look if polished. Photos seven through ten show the piece dry.
The specimen measures 4.75 X 2.75 inches at the large end, has a length of 7 inches and weighs 3 pounds, 13 ounces.
Shipping to any address within the United States is included in the listing prices. Please contact us for pricing if the destination is outside of the USA as the transportation charges shown will not be accurate.
