Desert Rose Plants, 2 Bloom Color Choices - Free US Shipping

Sorry, this item has sold.

The desert rose (Adenium obesum) is a succulent best known for their unusual forms and beautiful blooms. These bonsai-like plants are a great choice for those looking to add variety to their plant collection.

These are being offered individually in your choice of two bloom varieties: solid pink and white with a more defined pink border. The listing photos show a portion of the plants that are available growing in their 4-1/2 inch containers. All are branched and stand between 8 and 11 inches above the soil. The final two listing photos illustrate the difference between the two bloom varieties, although the actual blooms may vary slightly.

These will be shipped in their pots with soil. It is highly likely that the plants will lose a portion of their leaves while in transit. This is normal and the leaves will be replaced with new growth very quickly.

Desert rose requires bright indirect light, well draining soil and warm temperatures to thrive. The trunks of the plants swell to hold water to nourish them during dry periods. During summer, these plants should be watered frequently to support their growth. During winter, they should be treated like cacti, with watering scaled back to once every two or three weeks. These tropical plants will die if exposed to frost or freezing temperatures.

By far the largest barrier to the success of these plants is prolonged wet soil. To help prevent related issues, 1/3 to 1/2 of the potting mix volume should consist of coarse sand, perlite or a similar material.

they are real nice quality plants

My newest obsession! I ordered 2 different adenium (desert rose) and they arrived so well packaged and ahead of estimated date even with the postal delay. They are very nicely shaped with good caudex and root structure. I put them out on my shaded porch and will let them settle & dry a bit before I prune and repot them. Lovely plants! Thank you!
