Easter Lily Cactus, Six Different Plants - Free US Shipping

Sorry, this item has sold.

Echinopsis oxygona or Echinopsis eyriesii, also known as the Easter Lily Cactus and Sea-Urchin Cactus, is a succulent native to South America. These plants are best known for their large (up to 8 inch) blooms that appear on mature plants in early spring. They can grow to have a height and diameter of 8 inches. They rapidly produce offsets, small baby plants, that grow from the mother to form clusters that can become several feet in diameter.

The first seven listing photos show multiple sides of the exact plants being offered, each identifiable using their assigned letters. The final photo shows a different Easter Lily cactus in bloom and provides an example of what can be expected from these cacti.

Plant "A": Cluster having a mother plant that is 2-1/2 inches in diameter and 42 offsets. These offsets are on average larger than those attached to plant "B". Will be shipped as shown in a 4-1/2 inch pot with soil.

Plant "B": Cluster having a mother plant that is 2-1/2 inches in diameter and 45 offsets. The offsets are on average smaller that those growing from plant "A". Will be shipped as shown in a 4-1/2 inch pot with soil.

Plant "C": Cluster having 14 offsets attached to a mother plant that is 2-3/4 inches in diameter. Will be shipped as shown in a 4-1/2 inch pot with soil.

Plant "D": Single stem that is 3-1/2 inches in diameter. Shown in a 4-1/2 inch pot. Will ship without soil or pot.

Plant "E": More than 10 small offsets beginning to grow from a mother plant that is 2-1/4 inches in diameter. Shown in a 4-1/2 inch pot. Will ship without soil or pot.

Pot "F": A 6 inch container having four mother plants and many offsets. The primary plants may be carefully divided or allowed to grow together to form a larger cluster. Will be shipped as shown with soil and pot.

Although they will be packaged to minimize the possibility, a portion of the offsets may become separated while in transit. These will root independently very easily.

Like most cacti, the Easter Lily is very easy to grow and will perform well if a few simple guidelines are followed. The planting soil must drain freely and, although the Easter lily cactus enjoys more water than most, the roots must not be subjected to prolonged wet periods. It can withstand cooler temperatures, even frost, for short periods of time however they will thrive if kept between 50 and 95 degrees. Direct morning through midday sunlight is ideal and they may scorch if exposed to direct late day sunlight.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not use heat packs and we are not responsible for damage related to the plants being exposed to cold temperatures.
