Gymnocalycium Anisitsii Multiproliferum, Dense Cactus Clusters - Free US Shipping

This subspecies of Gymnocalycium anisitsii was actually named for the incredible number of offspring they produce. If kept happy, these will supply an endless number of new plants year after year.

The exact plants being made available in this listing are shown in the photographs and they are identifiable by their associated letters.

There are two plants available individually for option "A". They measure 2 inches in diameter and both have multiple offsets that are beginning to form. They are shown growing in their 2-1/2 inch pots. ONE of these plants will be shipped if "A" is selected.

Plant "B" has a primary stem at the center of the cluster that is 3-1/2 inches in diameter. There are 15 offsets that measure at least 1 inch, 6 smaller offsets and 13 that are beginning to form. This cluster is shown growing in a 6 inch container.

The primary stem at the center of plant "C" has a diameter of 3-1/2 inches. There are over 30 larger offsets, with 20 being 1 inch or greater in diameter. There are also many more offsets just beginning to grow. The cluster was photographed growing in a 6 inch pot.

They will be shipped as shown, in their pots with soil.

These cacti are members of a broader group of cacti often referred to as "Chin Cactus". Their needs are slightly different than those of most other cacti. A care guide providing detailed information will be included, but here is a general overview:

G. anisitsii multiproliferum have a strong preference for low PH soil. Water when dry during summer and only sparingly for the balance of the year. This cactus may survive sub-freezing temperatures however we recommend not exposing them to anything below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. They will burn if placed in direct late day sunlight and do well with less light than most other cacti.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not use heat packs and we are not responsible for damage related to the plant being exposed to cold temperatures.

Although they will be packaged to minimize the possibility, a portion of the offsets will likely become separated while in transit. If that should occur, place the offsets in a dimly lit and dry location for several days. They may then be set on top of the soil to root and will eventually form a separate cluster.
