Pilosocereus azureus, also known as the Blue Torch Cactus is native to Brazil and is arguably one of the most beautifully colored of all cacti. Growing to a height of over 10 feet, their bluish-green ribbed stems are accented by golden yellow spines.
The listing photos show the exact plants that are being made available in your choice of three sizes. One plant of the selected size will be shipped with each order.
The four smallest plants stand 3 to 3-1/4 inches tall and are shown growing in their 2 inch pots.
The two medium plants are 6-1/2 and 7 inches tall and were photographed growing in their 4 inch containers.
The largest cactus stands 8-1/2 inches tall and is shown in a 5 inch pot.
All will be shipped without soil or pots.
The Blue Torch can tolerate temperatures down to 36 degrees for short periods of time, however they should not be exposed to anything below 50 degrees on a regular basis. They require direct sunlight for a minimum of 4 hours per day and must be planted in soil that drains very well. During the warmer portions of the year, allow the soil to dry completely before watering again. Water only once every three to four weeks between late fall and early spring.
