Kalanchoe beauverdii is a rare and unusual plant native to Madagascar. Going by the common names of Widow's Thrill, Black Widow Kalanchoe and False Hoya, this is one of only a few succulents that will climb when given the opportunity.
The listing photos show a portion of the plants being made available in two different sizes: 4-1/2 inch pots and 6 inch hanging baskets. All will be shipped as shown, in their containers with soil
The color of the plants are dictated by the amount of light they receive. Those growing in lower light will be green, changing to dark purple or black with an increasing amount of sunlight. The stems will grow to be several feet in length and will climb and twine to cover any object they come into contact with.
Plant these in well draining but rich soil, water when dry during the warmer months and less during winter. To look their best, provide them with as much light as possible. They may survive brief exposure to temperatures as low as 30 degrees Fahrenheit, however anything below 40 degrees should be avoided if at all possible.

This is my second order of this wonderful Kalanchoe! It is very hard to find, so these generous plants, at this great price, are amazing! They came packaged with great care, arrived quickly, and in perfect order. Mine are outside in zone 8b, and as the weather drops, they will be houseplants. The rapid growth is healthy and unique, just as I like. They are wonderful plants from a great seller! Highly recommend!
