This eye-catching succulent has its origins in Angola and is a hybrid and rarer form of Sansevieria cylindrica. These are more commonly known as "Spear Orchid" or "Fan Sansevieria", are easy to grow and require very minimal attention in order to flourish.
These robust plants have thick leaves that radiate from the center in the shape of a fan. This growth habit, combined with their alternating dark and light green bands, give them a dramatic and unique appearance.
The listing photos show a portion of the plants we have to offer growing in their 6 inch containers. All have 5 to 7 leaf spikes and are available individually or in sets of two plants.
Sansevieria cylindrica "Boncel" perform best when provided bright indirect sunlight, although they can be grown in areas receiving lower light levels as well. They should be planted in well draining soil and watered no more than once every 2 weeks during warmer times of the year, and only once per month between fall and early spring. They prefer temperatures between 70 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit and should not be exposed to temperatures below 50 degrees.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not use heat packs and we are not responsible for damage related to the plants being exposed to cold temperatures. All of these will be shipped semi-bare root with no pots and very little soil being included.
