The tree slices featured in this listing were cut from the limbs of Arizona ash trees growing on our Texas ranch. These have a nice beige color with clearly visible growth rings and thin, well attached bark that is decorated with lichens. The slices are are available in a variety of sizes and quantities, and unlike most other wood slices, these will not crack as they dry.
The photos show a portion of the slices that were cut for this listing and they are representative of all that will be shipped.
Small slices will measure 1-1/4 to 1-5/8 inches in diameter.
Medium slices have a diameter falling between 1-3/4 and 2 inches.
Large slices are 2-1/8 to 2-1/2 inches in diameter.
All are between 3/16 and 1/3 of an inch thick. The bark of the small slices has a smoother texture when compared to the medium and large slices.
When cutting this material, we found that 30 slices had very small holes near their centers. These are a mixture of medium and large diameter size pieces and are available as a single lot at a discounted price.
